This is the official soundtrack for "Submerged" by Jeff van Dyck. In a piano and string quartet style, the Submerged soundtrack takes you on a voyage of mystery, discovery and melancholy. Developed by Uppercut Games, Submerged finds you trapped in an ancient, half-submerged city, desperate for supplies. You must explore the flooded streets in your simple fishing boat, and scale the ruined buildings that hold the promise of salvation.

Les morceaux réunis dans Spirit of the Cosmos font partie des toutes premières créations d'Austin Wintory alors qu'il était adolescent. Par conséquent, ils ne se démarquent pas forcément par leur dimension novatrice et on reconnaîtra des mouvements qui ont fait leurs preuves dans la musique orchestrale (beaucoup d'entre eux me rappellent des musiques de films d'aventures voire même de Disney). Ça n'en fait pas un mauvais album pour autant : non seulement il est ravissant mais aussi très beau ! Jordan Vauvert

Une plongée dans l'inconnu avec avec des éléments déjà existants : c'est le paradoxe soulevé par Austin Wintory quand il évoque la bande-originale de The Banner Saga 2 d'autant plus que c'est la première fois qu'il compose pour une suite — et seul ce jeu vidéo a eu le droit à ce traitement de faveur. Pas de quoi avoir peur : elle est autant réussie que la première sinon plus. La pression est constante ("Under the Black Banner", "Threads Unweave"...) et les chants guerriers sont ensorcelants.
